Well, I think the thing is that when your looking in the mirror you can move around and see other angles. Like, your not frozen in one position (if you know what I mean.
But with a photo its a picture so if at the moment that the person takes the picture you accidently move you face or something it can come out really weird!!! Or the person might just not be very photo genic!!!
If you try this you will probably understand more what I mean.
Go to a mirror and do lots of different faces, then get a camera and take pictures of you doing those faces and you will probably find that you thought you looked better in the mirror then you do in the photo!!!
This might not work but its worth a try!!!How come people overestimate their beauty when looking through mirror?
i cant really explain well, but photographs capture one moment, whereas mirrors show you while youre moving, so if you do anything that doesnt look attractive while looking in a mirror you're moving quickly enough not to really notice it.
but if they capture that moment in a photograph its obvious that you look funny.

For everyone there own style and face cuts.... we cant say like that bcz in original he/she is beautiful but not in photos...... Only some people have the photogenic faces....... In photos they are not beautiful but in real beauty..................
We like things that we are being exposed to frequently. Since we see ourselves in mirrors more than in photographys (which add some distortion), we like ourselves in familiar mirrors more.

because the mirror and photgraph switch left and right different.
Because some people just aren't photogenic.
