Why is beauty such hard work to create, but you can just kick back and watch ugliness happen on its own?

Ugliness is equated with destruction. Beauty is correlated with excellence. By its very nature, beauty is frail and, ultimately, subject to eventual ugliness. Report Abuse

Beauty is to the eye of beholder, so is ugliness.
Because the common man believes that '; beauty is in the eye of the beholder';.

They are commonly wrong.

Beauty is not in the eye of the beholder it is a learnt and taught subject. Ones personal tastes? Now that is in the eye of the beholder. But beauty is taught, if it wasn't then what are we doing with all these museums, art galleries, and schools of art? They are there to teach us what beauty is, and we have to learn it either by osmosis or by applied study to the subject.

To learn this you have to work at it, and work hard. It is a luxury to the common man but to the artist? Well it means their world. So an artist will spend the time money and work to learn the subject and to hone their skills but to say that a man of no schooling has a valid opinion on beauty? It's insulting to the artists that do know the matter.

Any man or woman can state their opinion on their own tastes but to carry any weight to their opinion it must be backed up with some knowledge. And this is a luxury that many men and women will not spend the time and effort on.

So ....we see ugliness called art, we see the result of the lowest common denominator insinuated into the arts as a valid opinion on what beauty is.

Ugliness happens on it's own because the majority rule on this matter and to hell with the learned.
Because ugly is real and half of the beautiful people are not.
beauty my friend is upon our perseption i know there is nothing and no one ugly in this world but our

';morals'; and our judgemental nature tell us otherwise so we constantly have a battle for this.

sometimes i wish i blind so i could enjoy everypne and everything a little bit more
Because sometimes when you try too hard,

what you create is a work which shows your effort,

rather than your innate beauty and gifts.
Good question!

Beauty is an expression. It may be difficult for you to create because it doesn't reach your own intuition as you enjoy a beautiful work of art. Art requires a great imagination in order to come up with a masterpiece. When we look for beauty there are as many opinions as there are heads; and every lover of beauty thinks of authority in their own right. The beauty we look into is the formation of an image ( or a series of images) that catches the essence of the thing perceived. So you may say it is ugl for you but for me it is beautiful. Indeed beauty is actually adequate expression.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!
Because you want to change your natural self! You think that your present self is not what you want so you have to create one that is best to you liking, and therefore, requires lots of adjustments to soot your liking. But ugliness on the other hand is the natural you, of which takes its natural toll, without being created.
I like to look at it like ';ugliness'; is a label for what us humans truly are and ';beauty'; is what we use to cover it up. Look at these ***** hollywood celebs and their physical ';beauty'; to cover up their inner ';ugliness'; or these crooked politicians with their thousand dollar cuff-links and symmetrical smiles. No, I look at beauty as a facade, unless one is referring to the inner beauty, then it would be something that the ugliness would not be able to outweigh!
';Beauty'; is something everyone dreamed of, look forward to, and hope to be. Therefore, we can say that achieving beauty is tantamount to seeking man's contentment, fulfillment of which requires a lot of hard work and failure to do so will always be the waste basket of ugliness of all in vain effort to achieve it.

Or simply we can put it this way, understanding beauty and ugliness is understanding mankind.
And I thought Romanticism was dead! You poor, sensitive soul.
Nobody can really define beauty and ugliness, because what is ugly to some could be beautiful to others.

With humans, beauty comes from within. If you perceive yourself to be beautiful, then others around connect with that inner confidence and see you differently. The reverse is true as well..see yourself as ugly, so too will others.
''BEAUTY'' is commonly defined as a characteristic present in a person, place, object or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning or satisfaction to the mind or to the eyes, arising from sensory manifestations such as a shape, color, personality, sound, design or rhythm.

Beauty is studied as part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology and culture. Beauty, as a cultural creation, is also extremely commercialized.

A beauty ideal is a person who is admired by the people. Someone who is seen as an ideal or symbol of a certain thing. There have been several, but very few, people who have become icons of beauty.

beauty may engender a salient experience of positive reflection about the meaning of one's own existence.

''BEAUTY'; is most profound sense...
Beauty is cosmos; ugliness is chaos. Ugliness that just ';happens on its own'; is out of our control. Creating beauty is one of the virtues of being Man.
