Why are men's and feminists conclusions so far apart when it comes to the power of female beauty?

If I ask the question: How do you factor in the liquid power of female beauty into the equation of equality between the genders?

......there will likely be a dichotomy between the responses of men and women. Why is that? Why are men's and feminists conclusions so far apart when it comes to the power of female beauty?
A good looking man has just about as much effect on a normal woman as a good looking woman would have on a man. Trust me I'm a woman and I've had my head turned by many a stud. Why are men's and feminists conclusions so far apart when it comes to the power of female beauty?
The present study examined the effect of feminist ascription on perceptions of the physical attractiveness of women ranging in body mass index (BMI). One-hundred and twenty-nine women who self-identified as feminists and 132 who self-identified as non-feminists rated a series of 10 images of women that varied in BMI from emaciated to obese. Results showed no significant differences between feminist and non-feminists in the figure they considered to be maximally attractive. However, feminists were more likely to positively perceive a wider range of body sizes than non-feminists. These results are discussed in relation to possible protective factors against the internalisation of the thin ideal and body objectification.
I think females just tend to harness the power better because we're more aware of it than men at this point.

Though I believe appearance is huge for both men and women, and always has been. It's human nature to value physical beauty pretty highly, we're naturally pretty superficial, at least at first sight.

We're all constantly judged by our appearance, then logic kicks in and we're judged based on who we are once we interact more with anyone, and their perception of how we look then often changes.

So really, even on a deeper level, appearance is still a huge factor, to me. When emotions are directly affecting how we visually see people and changing their actual appearance in our minds...pretty good indicator that appearance is inherently important to us as humans =o)
Females are no more ';beautiful'; than males. I think what you are referring to is the 'sexual leverage' women have in our society. I think feminists don't want to admit to this being an advantage largely because it would suggest that if women were to get equal rights as well as enjoy tremendous social leverage from their sexuality it would be obvious that women had MORE 'rights' than men.
Because men know and accept the indisputable fact that men and women are different human-beings with different desires and needs. Most feminist cling to the belief that any differences between the two genders is due socialization. This origin of beliefs will obviously lead to different points of view.
That's because women know that beauty will get a woman nowhere fast if she has a cold or unfriendly personality and that different people have different ideas of what beauty is. One woman who is considered beautiful by one man might not be the same to another.
Trust me the power of handsome men has made me do some pretty dumb s*it in the past lol

I dont think you realise how much women are attracted to fit men and its exactly the same as the other way round. Its biology and none of us can help it
Feminists (ugly women) will likely downplay the significance of beauty.
Because feminists are idiots.
it's because men and feminists have different points of view
because most feminists become feminist because they're ugly and can't get a man
